2026 Administration/Other Departments Summer Students

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson Mine is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest
underground gold mines. With over 750 team members, the operation is located near the town of
Matachewan, centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay, and Sudbury, Ontario. With
a large Mineral Reserve base and strong ongoing free cash flow generation, Young-Davidson will serve

We are seeking motivated, organized, and safety‑conscious Summer Students to join various
departments across our mining operation for the upcoming summer term. This is an excellent
opportunity for students interested in gaining hands‑on experience in a dynamic mining environment
while supporting key business functions.
Students will work closely with department leaders and team members to learn day‑to‑day
responsibilities, develop valuable professional skills, and contribute to the success of ongoing projects
and activities.
Location: Matachewan, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time, Summer Term
Department: Administration/ Other Departments
Available Positions & Key Responsibilities:
Administration
• Provide general administrative support including filing, data entry, document management, and
office organization
• Assist with scheduling, internal communications, and coordinating meetings
• Support various departments with clerical tasks and special projects
Finance
• Assist with data entry, invoice processing, and financial record management
• Support monthly reporting, document tracking, and account reconciliation
• Help maintain accurate and organized financial files and spreadsheets
Human Resources
• Support recruitment activities including scheduling interviews and preparing onboarding
materials
• Assist with maintaining employee files, tracking training records, and updating HR databases
• Help prepare communications, reports, and HR documentation
Health & Safety
• Assist with safety inspections, audits, and hazard identification activities
• Support the tracking and organization of training records and safety documentation
• Participate in safety initiatives and help develop communications or presentations for safety
meetings
Warehouse
• Assist with inventory management, receiving, stocking, and issuing materials
• Help organize warehouse areas and track inventory using site systems
• Support the warehouse team with shipping, documentation, and equipment handling
Environmental
• Assist with field sampling programs (water, air, soil, waste), under supervision
• Support data entry, environmental monitoring, and compliance reporting
• Participate in inspections of site facilities, spill containment, and environmental control systems
• Help maintain organized sample records, logs, and environmental files
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program relevant to one of the listed departments (or a
related field)
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced mining environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
Work Schedule
• 4 days on, 3 days off day shift Monday- Friday (varies by department)
• Office, field, or warehouse environment depending on assignment
• All required training and PPE provided
• Must have own transportation to and from mine, no camp available, however, some
accommodation can be made on a case-by-case basis

selection, based on previous site experience, good standing with grades and preference for students
pursuing or currently enrolled in a course of study that is related to the mining industry.
To be eligible to apply, student must be a minimum of 16 years of age to work on surface and 18 years
of age to work in underground operations.
