Location: 14579 Government Road, Larder Lake
Employment type: Part-time, variable hours
Typical schedule: Monday to Friday, with work generally scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Shop and Yard Worker to help keep our shop, yard, trucks, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use. This part-time position offers variable hours based on workload, weather, and operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Organize shop space, tools, supplies, and parts.
• Clean trucks, equipment, and work areas.
• Keep the yard tidy and arrange equipment and materials in designated areas.
• Assist with snow clearing, sanding, and keeping walkways and access areas clear.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs under the direction of experienced staff.
• Help move, load, and unload supplies and materials using safe handling practices.
• Report damaged tools, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid G, DZ, AR driver permit
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and follow directions.
• Comfortable with physical work and working outdoors in changing weather.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic familiarity with hand tools; mechanical experience is an asset.
• Previous experience with shop, yard, equipment cleaning, or maintenance is an asset.

Hours of Work

Hours will vary from week to week and are not guaranteed. Work will usually take place Monday to Friday between 7:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Occasional changes to the schedule may be needed for snow clearing or other operational requirements.

Compensation: $26-$32/hour, depending on experience and qualification
