Family Wellbeing Program Coordinator
Full Time - Permanent Position
Following the Mission Statement of the Beaverhouse First Nation Band Office, we are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual who will work with a dynamic team to perform the following duties:
Maintain a culturally safe, positive, and enriching environment for youth and families who attend programming
at any of our office spaces or out on the land. Program delivery may at times be located at any of our landbased locations.
Deliver culturally appropriate services through various Beaverhouse First Nation program initiatives.
Work as a team with other Program Support Staff to deliver workshops, information sessions, cultural teachings,
events, and other activities as mandated by the funding agreements.
Ensure accurate records are kept of all program activities, attendance, and sign in sheets.
Collection of registration forms, privacy forms and incident reports.
Documentation of statistical data is required by the agency.
Participate in ongoing professional development to keep up to date with best practices
Must be able to attend training and/or workshops as mandated by the program funders and/or agency.
Must maintain a confidential and positive rapport with coworkers, clients, and families.
Must be flexible and available to work some evenings and weekends as requested to fulfill program initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Social Service Worker Degree/Diploma or Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field
Experience with facilitation and coordination of group activities
Experience with Microsoft office and Teams
Must have a Valid Driver’s License and/or access to vehicle
Must be highly motivated, reliable, and committed
Effective oral and written communication skills
Assets
Knowledge of Indigenous Culture
Valid First Aid/CPR
Mental Health First Aid Certificate
Crisis Intervention Training: ASSIST Training, Safe Talk Training, Peer Support Counselling
Knowledge of both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous resources, services providers, groups, and programs that are available in the district.
