Compensation & Benefits Information

·         Rate of pay ranges from: $27.38 to $28.86, as per the SEIU-Service Collective Agreement

·         Percent in lieu and vacation percent pay up to 18%, as per the SEIU-Service Collective Agreement

Job Summary:

The Personal Support Worker is accountable to the Manager, Inpatient Unit & Allied Health Care and performs a variety of patient care activities and non-nursing support functions to assist nursing personnel in providing total patient care, in accordance with the mission statement, goals, philosophy and objectives of Blanche River Health and their respective Department.

Requirements:

·         Must be a graduate of a recognized Personal Support Worker program or preference will be given to those who have completed the first year of the BScN Nursing program or the Practical Nursing program

·         Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life Support

·         Bilingualism is an asset.

·         A working knowledge of computers is required.

·         Must be willing to work flexible hours at times, to meet the needs of our patients, families, staff and volunteers.
