YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Manager, Communications Ontario Region, you will be part of the Communications Department. You will be responsible for executing internal communication strategies that inform, engage, and motivate employees at all levels of the organization. You will work closely with leadership and department heads to ensure that key messages are effectively communicated across various channels, aligning internal communications with organizational goals and culture. Your contributions will support employee engagement, strengthen internal relationships, and foster a positive and cohesive work environment. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Internal Communication Implementation:
- Support the implementation of internal communication strategies that align with organizational objectives and enhance employee engagement;
- Collaborate with key departments to understand business priorities and ensure communication efforts reflect the company’s vision and values
- Promote effective internal communication practices, ensuring that messages are clear, consistent, and tailored to different audiences within the organization;
- Continuously evaluate and adjust communication initiatives to improve effectiveness and increase employee understanding and engagement.
- Content Creation and Distribution:
- Write, edit, and coordinate a variety of internal communications materials, including newsletters, intranet content, memos, email updates, and announcements;
- Create engaging content for internal communications campaigns, ensuring a consistent tone and message that aligns with organizational goals;
- Write content related to company news, employee achievements, events, policy changes, and other important information;
- Ensure that all internal communications are clear, timely, and relevant, delivering value to employees across the organization;
- Serve as a liaison between different teams, ensuring that internal messaging is consistent, aligned, and reflective of broader business objectives;
- Track the performance of internal communications initiatives, including engagement rates, employee feedback, and content effectiveness.
- Employee Engagement and Feedback:
- Support initiatives that promote two-way communication between leadership and employees, encouraging feedback, participation, and collaboration;
- Conduct employee surveys to gather feedback on internal communication effectiveness and help identify areas for improvement;
- Analyze feedback to enhance engagement and address communication gaps;
- Support the implementation of internal recognition programs to highlight employee accomplishments and reinforce the company’s culture of appreciation.
- Internal Events Coordination and Communication:
- Support the planning and communication of internal events, including town halls, team meetings, and company-wide celebrations;
- Support the implementation of communication plans and materials for internal events, ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and motivated to participate;
- Collaborate with event planners to ensure the effective delivery of messages and the seamless execution of events that foster a positive work culture.
- Brand Advocacy and Corporate Culture:
- Advocate for the company’s brand and values in internal communications, ensuring messages reflect the company’s culture and mission;
- Promote the organization’s vision, mission, and core values in all internal communications efforts;
- Execute campaigns to reinforce the company’s culture and enhance employee morale, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing.;
- 5-7 years of experience in the traditional media and social media management field;
- Solid experience in the implementation of internal communications programs;
- Experience in coordinating internal events;
- Knowledge of the communities in which we operate is an asset;
- Experience in the mining industry is an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with the ability to work within the teleworking policy for Ontario with offices in Timmins, Sudbury, North Bay, and Kirkland Lake, ON;
- Occasional visits to site and Ontario communities may also be required;
- Flexibility in work hours to accommodate events.
